Our Leadership

Rev. Dr. Shawn P. Richmond is a native of both North Carolina and Washington, DC. She grew up in a loving, Christian family and endeavors to carry many of their traditions forward.

She is a published author of two Christian novels, a Bible Study workbook, and a recent biblical research project. For that project, she completed a deep dive study of "100 Women of the Bible" where she led a social media campaign posting a different woman each day for 100 days.

In 1999, she launched her first business, a technical training firm. Today, under the umbrella of SPR Enterprises, she operates four businesses - one non-profit and three LLCs.

Having been saved since she was 12 years old, Rev. Richmond has known the Lord for more than 40 years. Unpredictable and inevitable life occurrences made room for her to grow even closer to God. She learned fervent and effectual prayer. She studied the Bible and had questions that traditional studies could not answer, so she enrolled in a theological seminary. She completed her studies in 2016 and was called to preach the gospel soon afterward. Rev. Richmond is now an ordained gospel minister, assigned to Prince George's Community Church where she serves as the Pastor of Congregational Care.

Rev. Richmond holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management, a Master's degree in Theology, a Master's degree in Distance Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Studies. In addition, she holds more than a dozen graduate and post-doctorate certificates. She has served as faculty, advisor, and curriculum developer at six different accredited colleges and universities.

Rev. Richmond lives in Virginia, where she enjoys family dinners, business, books and the Bible.
